When i use my webcam on algodoo it just makes a black box with no picture. and i no the webcam is on because there is a bright blue light that shines when it's on. help

that means theres power to the webcam have you got drivers installed and does it work with other programs . i.e. windows live messenger and not just the software it comes with ?

what webcam have you got?
and also try changing the usb to a different port and dont have it plugged into a usb hub.

We are aware that Algodoo doesn't work with quite all webcams out there. Standards for these cams is a mess, and there's a zillion special cases. We will address this in future maintenance releases.

oh ok it's just a cheap webcam that is intalled in my computer.

I have the same problem just for the record I have 64 bit Vista (64 vista makes ME look good) and I'm used to having horrid support for my hardware. I rest no fault on the wondrous people who make algodoo. The web cam is built into my laptop.
