can you input numbers to properties?
Hello,
I am a physics teacher in the US. Thanks for bringing out a newer version of Phun - it was a great toy for playing around and informally learning some physics.
But what would have made it a useful tool for education would be a way to input numbers to properties instead of dragging sliders. Also, being able to type in a speed & direction to make an object move (instead of grabbing it and yanking it and hoping for the best) would make it much more useable as a simulation with students.
Is that possible in Algodoo? If not, would you consider adding it as a feature?
We have been looking for a replacement for a very expensive program called Interactive Physics. If Algodoo has the feature I described (or it will be added soon), then I would be very interested in lobbying our administration to purchase a license for our (approx) 160 physics students.

Hello mrmont,
Welcome to the forums, you can double click the number, and change the number using the keyboard.
If you select an object, provided you are in advanced mode (change in options), you can go into a velocity box, you can also double click the number and input the numbers there, as you can do with the majority of numeric fields.
I hope you find this program to be useful for everything you want to use it for, and more

It's been possible to manually enter exact values into almost any slider for quite some time now. At least since Phun 4.22.
Made some cool stuff a long time ago

The first time people realized that was actually during Phun 3.12, which was when people discovered high bounciness.

you can also use the scripting menu if youre on advanced mode, but the way theyre suggesting might be quicker
(unless, of course, youre using thyme to change the variable
)
