How to make an airfriction engine
1. Make a gear and put it on a box as such
Image
Put a circle on each tooth like this
Image
then create two boxs and put this in the script menu's oncollide, top, e.other.airfrictionmult = 10000000000 bottom, e.other.airfrictionmult=0
ImageImageThen set the hinge options tor turn when W is pressed set strength to +inf and set the speed to around in the 200s. like this.
Image
Make two of them and glue them together set one of the hinges to reverse, in the end it should look something like this. Image
(make sure you have advanced mode turned on!)

you have algodoo, so, why didn't you make the tutorial there?

also, they'll need advanced mode on, so tell them to put it on!

PS! aifriction alone provides rather poor propulsion in relation to engine size, increasing/decreasing density alongside airfriction provides much greater effect

can you just use a circle gear instead of putting circles on a normal gear?

True, but it may cause instability,Just airfriction will be smoother most of the thyme (Pun intended)

This is a great tutorial, almost, apart from the fact that the code doesn't work.

if you delete one of the zero's at the end of the code then it will work
