Re: "Plain English" "onCollision" Events
That visual scripting could well be just visualised thyme. A visual scripting system seems more fit to Algodoo as it makes 'scripting' easier and more direct. If Algodoo gets this, it'll probably be used just for demonstrations and such(at school etc.).
Millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror, and were suddenly silenced. Something terrible has happened.

But there's a lot you can't do with just the physics part, and you shouldn't hide all that functionality from the normal user. A simple "Events" menu with "On collision" drop down menus, with items such as "Simulate key 'x'" and "Destroy myself" would be extremely great for the novice user.
Thyme is in Algodoo for reducing lag. Plus, without Thyme, Algodoo wouldn't run. All the objects, all the scene parameters, just about everything is made with Thyme. Emil just thought that it should be more accessible, but you should still learn it. I really don't like the idea of a visual scripting language in Algodoo, because those who've already learned Thyme would have trouble with it. Thyme is more powerful than you think, and easier too. Learn it if you want, but if you don't want to, then stay mechanical. It's better than way anyway. Even I know Thyme but I don't use it much.
I'm not advocating the deletion of Thyme - in fact, I am a developer and much prefer coding than GUI environments but for the average user, it would be much better. The average user is lazy, and will not learn some sort of scripting language so that they can add more stuff to what, in most people's eyes, is a game.

If they're lazy, they don't deserve to learn it. If everything just came easy to us, we would be fat, uncoordinated bastards. Also, you can't really add anything to Algodoo. Everything in it was already implemented. And it's not a game. If you can't understand that this was made for educational purposes, you're just gonna be posting suggestions like this. It's education, not a game. Learn scripting if you want to, don't learn it if you're lazy. End of discussion.

Lots of people in America are just that, so it wouldn't have much of an effect if you did this!
But not everyone in the world.
