Algodoo player

Postby Kilinich » Thu Dec 31, 2009 1:56 am

It will be great to have freeware version of Algodoo without interface - for playing our scenes (binded keys only). So Algodoo became a game development environment

I can't understand what your suggestion is about... At first, upon reading the title, I thought it was about having a media player inside of Algodoo. Then as I read on it seemed as if you wanted to make Algodoo free except take out the GUI. Then something about making it play scenes with key binds only? Then you asked if it could be made for game development?

Maybe I'm just not following it correctly, but this was quite confusing for me.

Basically:
Make an Algodoo version that only allows you to play and control(binded keys: motor hinge controls etc.) scenes.
Millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror, and were suddenly silenced. Something terrible has happened.

This would be cool... until someone makes a GUI out of boxes and Thyme.

he means make the algodoo gui. so you could just download the free player, then the algodoo gui scene, then have algodoo.

No but my current project takes too much time to build. Finally I'm done with portals technology and other cool stuff. It's very complicated scene, and I'm pretty sure it will be in top 10.

We had this idea on the old forums too (I suggested it first! :P) And I'm still in favor. Although it wouldn't be for game development, but rather demonstrations for classrooms and science centers.

Even more - it can be a browser plugin for quick scene viewing...
