Computer running Algodoo
What is important in a computer to run algodoo without lag (for example using a lot of water). The processor must have a lot of Ghz or it's more important to have a good graphics card?

for the calculation a fast cpu is necessary. it doesn't matter if it's quad, core, dual core or single core because algodoo only uses one cpu core but maybe they change that in the future so dual core is a good choice for algodoo (quad core is even better if you have got enough money). the core frequency should be about 3GHz.
but a lot of ram is needed too. 4GB should do the job.
the graphics card shouldn't be too bad but that's simple. otherwise you can't display any things fast enough not only algodoo. they are planning to implement OpenCL to algodoo which means the graphics card can support the cpu at calculating. if you want to use OpenCL maybe in the future you also need a good and actual graphics card.

Actually it's possible for Algodoo to use a primitive form of multi-core processing, but in some cases it may actually increase lag.

Mine's a Pentium 4 D, 3 GHz with 1.5 GB ram. It's not that top of the line, but it runs Algodoo extremely well, even with lots of water. I bet it could run fine on 500 MB of ram.
Millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror, and were suddenly silenced. Something terrible has happened.

I'm not sure of my exact specifications, but I know I have a really fast dual core processor and an ok graphics card. It runs Phun really well.

My new pc with a quad core processor,8gb's of ram and a 1TB harddrive runs algodoo like a pro... no lag with a CRAP load of water

there is a primitive form of multicore processing in algodoo, but it's not usually activated. you can, hovewer, set threading.numthreads to your number of processors. it can make stuff to run slightly faster, but sometimes it can get slower.
