Show angles
I suggest that when creating an object, you should be able to see the angles formed as shown below:

I also suggest an option so you will be able to see the existing interior angles and the sum of the interior angles of an object:

AFAIK, the angles in Algodoo are measured in radians(?), so this is also a suggestion to see it in degrees.
This may not be used by average users, but hey, this is also an opportunity to teach geometry in Algodoo

Not sure what's going on with this thread, but I could really care less about this idea and I'd much rather see the developers' time going to something more useful. The number of vertices in the average polygon is going to make this idea somewhat challenging.
Made some cool stuff a long time ago

Re: Show angles
Agree with frank, but if the angles were aviable through script, some things could get simpler..

maybe a "view angles" checkbox in the appearence menu?

It surely isn't a suggestion for nothing

*sigh* I'd rather like it if you not post just to state the obvious. :\

Re: Show angles
How would this work for drawn polygons, which always have rounded vertices and can be drawn with curved sections?

It only looks like it has rounded vertices

Really? How does that work? If I draw a circle, it's round. It doesn't 'look' round. It IS round.

Please, do not compare a circle to a polygon.

Well, then what of curved polygons?

Re: Show angles
It isn't truly curved. It just has a lot of vertices.

And you plan to find the angle of every vertex?

Re: Show angles
I only aimed this suggestion for simpler objects. I don't see why you would even use it on complex objects like that one :\

Yeah I thought the same thing: Polygon in algodoo, even the simplest one, are made out of over a hundred vertices. So it would be impossible to show angles of every.
But the Idea of showing angle, when CREATING a segment, relative to the previous line (created with shift) or with x or y axes seems useful.
So I support this part.

the only "simpler" objects we have is planes, circles and squares all other objects is polygons.
so that means either redesign how algodoo makes polygons or only have this feature on boxes(which seems like a waste).
Phundamentalists, come to the dark side.

Re: Show angles
they could detect if the angle is too close to 180 degrees and, if it is, not to display it at all!
