He will. He said so himself.

You can still download it. Stop complaining.

But I get the feeling that Algodoo users don't look at Phun creations.
THAT's what makes me suggest this.
Yeah, I'm complaining, and it'll probably mean nothing in the end.
Just wanted to get my word out here.

actually most of us do look at the phun creations
and phun users can use lots of algodoo scene's as long as they
don't have lasers
dont require the new physics system
don't need the "incompressible water"
as well the fact of the changes in the thyme system

Don't worry. Since the release of V.5.28, I know that there was at least one update, but it wasn't/hasn't been released.

Phun wasn't even an official release. If you check the release news, it comments on "Beta 5" released.

Also, Algodoo hasn't had any updates, either. Plus, Emil was on vacation for three months...

Algodoo is far more superior than Phun. Lasers, imrpoved physics etc.

Simply this: companies need money to do stuff. (like make more updates)

1) there is a free version
2) emil has a phd in computer science, so he earns big $$$
3) someone needs to cough up those big $$$
4) that someone is algoryx
5) algoryx does what it can to keep the price as low as possible (like the special offer for forum members to get algodoo for $7 or something)

you might find that the phun forums closed because link could not maintain both forums at the same time

to be honest i think phun should come over to the algodoo's website and be renamed algodoo: free edition which would have some improvements to the old physic engine, support to run scenes with lasers ( but not create them / with limited functionality )and the updates with the thyme system e.g. a bug fix to the "density = 0" crash.

Then it would be a near-duplicate, which means people would get that instead of paying for Algodoo.

basically what I mean is that Phun should run Algodoo scenes bug free and should have SOME of the features from Algodoo, but obviously have severe limits in the functions brought over.

And if where lucky Phun users will stop winging over the fact you have to buy Algodoo

Don't you see? who wants PHUN when there's the much more superior algodoo? If phun becomes better, fewer people will buy algodoo, algoryx will make less money. Then they might have to make some budget cuts, which will lead to lower quality from them.

It can run Algodoo scenes with the Algodoo-only features? Someone coulde easily abuse that.

Such as making a scene full of lasers and such that aren't used so Phun users could easily play with them?

the difference, my freinds, between phun and algodoo is the same as the difference between a bugatti and a VW
a VW is cheaper and doesnt necessarily perform well; A bugatti costs a heck of a lot and it performs amazingly and is more luxurious(for the most part) Not everybody wants to pay for that bugatti, so they get the VW. both of these cars arefrom the same major company (VW) the major differnce is owners of VWs dont complain about not having as much stuff as a bugatti. (because the relize that $ makes a difference)
it just seems that most of the whiny people around here havent quite rapped their minds around that concept

we (phun users) get what we pay for. we dont pay we dont get alot. simple

I think it seems like they are just leaving Phun to work on Algodoo. :(
I dont want to buy Algodoo but i still want to be able to see and use scenes from Phunbox who sometimes arent working properly.
And i was really surprised to see that the Phun forums have almost none forums in contrast to the Algodoo forums.
Algoryx, Please dont forget Phun that is nice for a greedy person like me. ;)

i.e. "Algoryx! I want High quality for free! and I want extra threads to just lie half-dead in the A:PE section!"

Algoryx isn't wal-mart. They don't benefit from slave labor or from sweatshops. Furthermore, programming is a relatively high-paying job. so they have to pay their employees and cover the expenses of running a company. Now yo want them to do all that without any money coming in? Let's see here... how much can algoryx pay their programmers when they get no money? How long can they pay the bills when they get no money? How long can they pay or this website when they GET NO MONEY? Don't you see? in order for algoryx to function they need MONEY. and you would have them waste away so you can enjoy a high quality physics simulation with no skin off your back...
