The idea is good, but the way you've done it is just terrible.
Our discussion is definitely better than your suggestion.

I support this 100%
Basically, there are only 10 types of people in the world. Those who know binary, and those who don't.

I'm oh-so-sorry. may I hazard a guess that you are:
1) under the age of 13
-or-
2) an extremely conservative christian
If 1, then my language was PG-13 and I apologize
If 2, then my language was religiously offensive.
So again I'm oh-so-incredibly-beyond-words-completely-totally-and-utterly-sorry

Breakable springs could certainly have their uses. Though they'd pretty much be adjustable hinges.

What do you mean by 'adjustable hinges'?
By the way, if you guys want to have a proper conversation, I'd suggest you stay away from little crytek over there. Can't expect anything nice from the little douche.
Millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror, and were suddenly silenced. Something terrible has happened.

By that, I mean that you could have a spring act as a stretchier/tenser/dampened/distanced breakable hinge.
