This is pretty much a moot point...
Do any of you really think they plan on updating Phun anymore? as link said:
So yeah, they abandoned us. I don't know why they still have a suggestions topic. Probably just to pacify us.

I don't think Phun will be updated. I know Phun will be updated.
Here's an example of one change log in the beta tester forums. If Phun is going to be abandoned, there's no point in differentiating between general updates and Algodoo only updates.

* Removed console window
* Fixed a bug that would make water particles disappear on undo.
* Removed surperfluous "phunlets/" from phunlet saving menu.
* cut tool now deletes fixjoints
Algodoo only:
* Fixed a problem that prevented Algodoo from restoring to a registered state when running as non-admin user on windows
* Changed laser behavior: the laser is now in only one material at the time; originally the top material and then later the latest entered material. It only enters water if there is no other material.

They said that phun wod receive updates as will algodoo but not as frequent. Do you see any algodoo updates? I didn't think so.

Like I've always said, I don't know much more than you guys, so whatever I say can be equally wrong.
But what's the use of having phun around? Just keeping algodoo: Phun edition would be good enough I think?

link, no one calls it algodoo: phun edition. they just call it phun. you have to learn that when we say phun, we mean A:PE

Why? Just because it's something other than what you believe? That's called "Facisim" And no I won't drop it, because it's what I believe in.

no, because no, because youre wrong, and phun will only be abandoned (according to ken) if people like you keep this up

They can't "Get rid of Phun." What are they gonna do, go around and delete every copy of Phun on the internet and on our computers, and any copy that will exist in the future too?

Don't get off-topic, please.
Like conundrumer said, there IS going to be an algodoo:phun edition update. hovewer, we still don't know at which point it will happen. maybe when emil gets back off his vacation, sometime later...
hovewer, i think they haven't decided what to do about restriction of several things. my personal idea would be to make you able to use all algodoo stuff, except grids, and laser pens, but limiting its saving capabilities when you use it.

If there are updates for Phun planned, then Algoryx has kept its promises, and probably at great expense. Do note that this section, the suggestions section, exists. Think about that.
Made some cool stuff a long time ago

Well they could close the phunland forum and site so you cant download phun or get to any of the old resources and wiki's anymore, and they could delete all phun files from algobox, or make it impossible to upload anything but algodoo files.
If emil did do any of those it'd probably be to spite your attitude toward him and algorex in this thread lol of course you've got till november roughly till that happens, considering hes on a three month vacation. by then maybe the rest of the team would have brought out an update. As conumdrumer has said, the beta test forum says they are working on one.

And if they do, a bunch of people WILL leave.
But I highly doubt they would do that just to spite ONE person. no matter how awesome, convincing, or annoying he is.

They did that with garry's mod, so why can't they do it with Phun?

What the hell are you saying? GMOD still exists, and so does the other older copies of it.

I'm talking about when they decided you had to pay for it, they took off all the GMOD files from the computers of anyone who had internet connection.

Really? Well, seems useless to me as you can freely download the older ones still.
