Bouncing Water
I really hope that someone can help me with this problem. Everytime I add water to a scene or start one with water it bounces around as if it was made of rubber balls. Now I can't do anything with water anymore. Strangely a few weeks ago it worked normal. Since I don't use scripting I have no idea what could be the reason for this bug.
Please help me.
Please help me.

Re: Bouncing Water
Delete your config file located in the installation directory of Phun. You must have downloaded a scene that screws up water or something.
Millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror, and were suddenly silenced. Something terrible has happened.

Re: Bouncing Water
yeah, but it doesn't work. even your phun-compatible one doesn't. deleting the config is the best way to go.

Save the time of deleting your config. Just open the console ( ~ ) and type in SPH.viscosity = 1

Why try to save time if it is worth it to make sure the water is right
it takes all of 20 seconds of my life to just delete my config

Re: Bouncing Water
I have deleted the config, cleared all my scenes, deleted all phunlets except for my own but it still doesn't work. My water continues to bounce everywhere even if I set the thing it's in to total friction and no resitution. Can anybody help? By the way, what is resitution?

Re: Bouncing Water
Since I usually point people at this thread when I find out that they have the bouncing water problem I will explain exactly how you can solve it:
1. You found out that the water bounces? Usually it is caused by loading an Algodoo scene in Phun. If you know what scene may have caused it remember it.
2. Close Phun. (Very important. If you don't close Phun it will not work.)
3. Delete the scene and your config.cfg file in your Phun directory. If you have closed Phun with that scene running make sure to erase the ONEXITSAVE-file as well.
4. Restart Phun. The config.cfg file is restored automatically with default settings, so you have to switch to your favourite settings. Problem solved!
If you don't know the scene try loading your latest scenes and test the water behaviour until you find the right one.
What if the scene would be cool if it didn't screw the water?
Load the scene and save it with a new name, then delete the original file and do the other steps. The scene should work now but if there are fancy mechanisms in the scene it can happen that it doesn't work when you save it as Phun file (e.g. laser stabilizers).

Re: Bouncing Water
I am having this problem on phun 5.28 running on windows 7. Tried deleting the config file and completely removing the program from my laptop and doing a reinstall but the problem continues. Any help with this would be greatly appriciated. don't know what to do and i love playing with the water.

Re: Bouncing Water
Delete "_ONEXITSAVE.phz" and then delete the config again. You might have closed Phun with that scene open.

Re: Bouncing Water
Thanks! This also helped me. Is the water in algodoo different than water in phun?

Re: Bouncing Water
Yeah, the water is less compressible and also lags less (of course, it isn't completely noticeable)
