I have a bunch of good Algodoo videos, some of them with more than 10000 views, all tagged with "algodoo":

Non of them in search result:

WTF? :wtf:

Yeah, youtube's search's are based somewhat of popularity (View, likes, comments etc.). Which is unfortunate because the videos that get lots of views continue to get lots of views, and others get out-shadowed.

Paradigm29's Algodoo: Phun edition video used to be on top, but it was removed due to copyright violations of music
actually I think I'll reupload it

In my case some videos like niva or belaz has more "views" and "likes" than those in search result...

From what I read, search results are also based upon the accumulated amount of time every viewer spent watching the video.

Hi, sorry for posting on a hold topic. But I think I can add some interesting points with my own experience.

I made a video of my first "serious" marble machine in 2011. Today the video reaches 400 000 views, and it's propably now the 3st or 4th most viewed video of algoddo/phun on youtube. And I cannot explain this. The video is awful, laggy because of my old computer, without any sound.
Look: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q3NsoIKpMEc
You can see that negatives votes reaches 1/4 of the votes.

And now the interesting thing:
I was upset because it's one of my worst video and it's the most viewed. So I made a better version with a friend musician.

And the result was what I expected : A good video with good feedbacks! I mean, 1 unlike for 18 likes, this is what matters most

For me, views are just useless without good feedbacks. Views are worthless because "buzz" is completely random for algodoo videos, there is no merit.

And Kilinich, I saw a long time ago your video "Algodoo fully functional car tricks" a long time ago and now I see it reaches 120 000 views and 104 likes! You can be proud of it. But I think 104 is underrated.
