Laputan Blueprints

3d physics sandbox created by the same author of Rigidchips, a panekit-inspired sandbox game, previously discussed on phunland forums, after he suddenly disappeared after finishing Rigid Chips 1.5B26.

it uses the Bullet physics engine to simulate collisions between 3d objects. while still in development, it's definitely playable, as complex models can be built.

while designing models by using blueprints is somewhat complicated, it's possible to construct complex objects rather easily with some experience.

the game, like rigidchips, simulates air lift forces, allowing creation of flying machines for instance.

Update: V1.3 release. it features lots of bug fixes and the ability to simplify blueprint visualization by pre-assembling it by using the "fold" option.

Why should I wear a tin foil hat? And where would I get one, for I think they only make aluminum now.

And I think I will take this as saying that Laputan Blueprints is not a virus. Just a bunch of bugs and glitches, which I think I can live with.

The only 2.5-D things I have ever heard of are (a) fractals, and (b) Weave mazes.
I have never heard of Street Fighter IV, and it's probably nothing like Laputan Blueprints.

Universal Maze Reference is here. You'll want the Maze Algorithms thing. The Silicon Fist (aka the software the Conspirators (aka the school admins) put on this computer) wouldn't let me get there.

I downloaded laputan blueprints... It seems really difficult for a beginner to make something, but maybe I've been spoiled by algodoo/phun... And for me, that helicopter and truck shown in the video lag so much that it is unusable.

The one thing I don't get is how they use one value to control another value, like on the airplane demo thing and the centipede. That and how the direction [a-b or b-a] of a single fixjoint can cause the whole assembly to rotate.

Also, hinges only have one parameter. I want speed and torque at my disposal.

What I found myself doing a lot was driving around the car or plane in the different worlds. I actually really like the handling on those things.

Maybe the video used a strategy similar to system.regularScreenshots to achieve the illusion of a supercomputer.
