Chaos theory
If you put ball direcktly in top of the spike, what makes it fall into that direction where it falls? And why same scene runs almost every tyme with different way? Like a falling brick tower. When it falls, its bricks fall always in different ancless when you run the sim again. What changes between sims?

Re: Chaos theory
i guess it depends on the speed algodoo reacts to collisions which varies depending on a gazillion variables from what background processes you got going to how saturated your memory currently is

Re: Chaos theory
Well, the answer is probably not that simple. As far as I know, Algodoo running at 100Hz, runs at 100Hz relative to sim time no matter what, it just slows down in realtime, so time delays in reactions are generally independent of background. I think the main reason of randomness are very small errors in floating point arithmetics, that cumulate into big errors eventually, so it's very good example of chaos theory.

I believe it is deliberate, related to internal variable you assign to 15 and get 15.000001. Slight differences to get actually randomness.

Word.
Millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror, and were suddenly silenced. Something terrible has happened.
