Somebody want to provide dozens of links to other topics? I'm too lazy.

At least this guy posted it in the right section.

I'm too lazy too.
Anyway, suggested before, turned down. iPhone can't handle it. Blah blah blah.

There needs to be a RULES or DONT POST THIS sticky in this Subsection.

There is nothing wrong with this thread :)

Think of it like this.
I asked my boss to fix the counter at my work, my boss who has a million other things to do ignores me (Seems familiar?) but if i continue to ask my boss, again and again he will see that we really do Need this and will prioritize this. If i asked him once and moved on he would know it wasn't important.

These topics show there is demand in certain areas. Granted i think Algodoo on the iPod touch would be horrible doesn't mean other people don't if there is a strong demand for Algodoo on Iphone emil would look into it. If no one ever posted how would we ever know?

Neither did I, but from what I've heard, it's just an enlarged iPod Touch with a few improvements. I doubt it'll handle Algodoo very well, though it would be better than the Touch/iPhone

Well they could make a super-scaled down version with only like 4 tools and minimal collision detection, but who the hell would buy that?

I'm confused why i am even supporting apple here but the iphone could handle Algodoo, you don't think they would port it with out any changes.
Besides that are already a bunch of physics game on the iphone.

Well what if they made a version that has less features than Phun. Like worse graphics and fewer tools. There IS already Phisify for the iPod touch.

Then it isn't Phun/Algodoo. Plus, there's already tons of physics sims on the App Store.

Also, learn to check post dates.

I guess so.

Besides, though I think the iPad could to limited Algodoo simulations, the iPhone/iPod Touch has 1) too small screen, and 2) not enough power for it to be useful at all.

It's like the App I have, RemoteHelper. Allows you to completely control a Mac remotely with iPhone/iPod Touch. very cool, but almost useless due to lack of keyboard support and tiny screen.

It'd be a cool tech demo, but there's no practical use for it.

K, so now there's the iPhone 4 and they're making a new iPod Touch with a kick-ass processor. I think algodoo would run considerably well on it. And Chronos, don't be such a prick.

What about Phyisify?

Its kind of like phun it has

- Realistic 2D physics
- 13 different tools to use to create or modify the scene
- 4 types of joints to constrain objects together in a variety of ways
- Save and load progress
- Adjust physical properties of each tool
- Help and information pages for each tool
- Choice of accelerometer or defined gravity
- Duplicate, erase, or manipulate groups of objects
- Pre-made creations included
- Progress saved automatically
