Not sure I understand. Are we supposed to be transporting something like a bucket of water? How are we judged?

Is there some sort of Japanese Phun community that makes unbelievable scenes that are invisible to us? I sometimes get the feeling they're watching our scenes and laughing at us.

But this contest certainly look interesting, I'll have a good read later.

Just move something start to goal.
Your machine must go through between ground and green boxes.
Your machine must NOT collide with green boxes

Edit: the scene below is not final version for stage.
Code: Select all
The course is below:

I'm absolutely entering this.

I've got a scene, I think it's OK rule-wise, but if you could check and make sure, that would be great.

I made it in Algodoo, and will soon open and tweak in Phun. I hope that's OK.

Machine Name: TankBot 0.3

A and B has almost same rules. The difference between A and B is below.
A: Manual (You have to upload video)
B: Automatic

C has fewer rules than A and B (i.e. Category C has only basic rules).
And category C includes A and B (i.e. When you have posted your machine as category A, your machine is considered for A and C)

Category C is for whom broke rules for A and B (but do not break basic rules).
And category C needs video.

Ahh, thanks for clarification.

Dare, you are not alone when you find that Google's translation makes little sense.

If a Category C entry is automatic, does it require a video?

To tell the truth, the Category C doesn't compete by speed (time), but compete by video. ;)
There exists some judges. One choose most interesting entry for him (I'm also a judge and I also choose my favorite entry as winner). One choose most challenging entry to reveal Phun physics and then developed new field of research. One choose most contributing entry to development of military technology, and gave us its breakthrough.

Ah, okay. So there's an "awesome scene" judge, a "breakthrough" judge, and a "military" judge.

Is that just for Class C, or is it how all entries are graded?
And is that the only way the entries are graded? Or is there some other scoring system that I don't know about?

I'd like to see your scene.

You have to create scene with Phun.
And Phun always save scenes into Phun/scenes folder.

Through some insanely bizarre coincidence, my NXT brick is named Tankbot. Funny thing is, the rest of my team named it that a year ago. How's that for randomness?

Anyway, I'm still working on my entry... This seems to be a welcome challenge; thank you Japanese Phun-users who started this contest!
