Laser 2 player battle

Hey guys !
I've been working on a two player game,
Using your keyboard you can fly your craft and cut your opponent.

the controls are:

Player one:
c / b: aim
v : shoot
w /a /s / d : Move

Player two:
left / right : aim
up : shoot
i /j /k / l : Move

Altough it's playable a few minor changes would greatly improve the game:

I need a way the stop the center from turning while alowing it to move, so you can aim easyer.
(e.g. allow translation and stop rotation)

A way to destroy the ship after is has been hit. Now its just a Killer block witch destroyes itself when cut in half (the pieces kill eachother). But sometimes the piecies escape and create an immortal enemy (witch is still controlable) Also if the laser comes loose, it's impossible to destroy it, while your opponent can still cut you with it.

A more linear speed: e.g. If you push a button your craft starts accelerating, but it would be better if it got at a certain speed (almost) instantly.

My goal is to make all systems mechanical so you can cut them and have all kinds of effects. For instance, an arm with the laser pointer on it, wich you can cut off to leave your opponent defenceless.

I haven't used thyme until now, or any sort of scripting, but i realise my wishes aren't possible without it.

I'd like to hear your thoughts!

greets Roel
