Text Boxes

How do you create the temporary text boxes that you can quickly exit out of? (not geometry figures with text in them)

If you mean bits of GUI that just have some text, an eyeball button, a minimize button, and a close button, those are just menus that have been minimized with the title replaced.

Make a box, open the Information menu, move it a bit so the Context menu closes, minimize it, click the text, type something in. Easy.

Also, in previous versions (i.e. before 1.9.8), decreasing the amount of text would shrink the whole window. No more. I shall bug report this.
