Algodoo interface skins
Under the "Skins" tab (in the options menu of algodoo) it says
Also, does anyone have any good interface skins they would like to share?
What's up with that? I see no easy way to create custom skins (though I did find a semi-tutorial when I searched through the files in algodoo-- you should read some of the skin CFG files, the comments in them are pretty funny), and I see no way to share them here. Is this Emanuel's algodoo-related project? Is this going to be added sometime? You can create your own skins and share with others on http://www.algodoo.com

Re: Algodoo interface skins
You had one in your sig... Speaking of which, I did not really like that one because it got rid of the gradients on the menus. And there is no point in messing with the config. Just select the skin from the Options menu. Note that at this point, it appears that I have no idea what I am talking about.
EDIT-This is a skin that simply fixes the 1.8.5 Tracer Problem, reverting the appearance of the tracer to 1.8.0/5.28.
It contains its own images for everything in the app folder- hinges, springs, lasers, etc. Everything else is borrowed from the default skin.
And while I'm here, I might as well make a tutorial.
1. Copy the default skin folder and the default CFG to the same folder (Program Files >> Algodoo >> Skins), renaming them both MySkin. Or whatever you want to call the skin.
2. Open MySkin.CFG. Change textureDirs from ["default"] to ["MySkin", "default"]. It's at the top.
3. Change the values in the CFG and/or the images in the folder to personalize your skin. Keep in mind that any image you delete will be replaced with the corresponding image in the Default folder.
4. Open Algodoo, go to Options >> Skins, you should see MySkin on the list.

Recently, I discovered something a lot of you probably already knew: Minecraft is awesome.
Due to this, I may not be as active as usual for a while.

I know it was pitch-black; use the color sliders to choose the proper brightness and the gradients should reappear. Either that or it made the gradients disappear and I didn't notice. But that's highly unlikely. There is very much a point in messing with it. I fixed the tracers, right? And for someone who likes to tinker with the gui files for programs...
And I'm still working on your avatar

Awesome. Here's my retro, original Phun skin. To load just open it up in Algodoo and it should work

Re: Algodoo interface skins
1. Copy your skin files to somewhere else, go File >> Send To >> Compressed Zip. Upload that.
2. Try the Classic skin that comes with Algodoo.

I did. But I preferred this because it has a slightly more "classic" look as it uses the original Phun icons.

No, you uploaded a .phi, not a .zip. I want a .zip.

Re: Algodoo interface skins
Thank you. I have no idea how to unpack a .phi.
At some point, I may update my Tracer Fix skin with an Extra Wobbly mode- to further differentiate wobbly menus in Algodoo's GUI from programs with lesser GUIs. I love how that works. In Ubuntu (which I very rarely use now that the school issued me a Windows laptop), I always turn on Extra Special Effects. Or whatever that's called.

If you can find 7-zip (a zip packer), it will suffice to open PHIs and similar files.

Re: Algodoo interface skins
I possibly could, but it would be more work that I really want to do if I were to try to make it actually compatible with 1.9.8. So many things have changed...

It's a pity, I liked that old skin feel, too. But maybe that's just a matter of a habit.
