how to build this (out from a exam)
hi there!
I have a assignment in my exam which i dont know how to build in algodoo. here is it:
a pump should get 4,6m³ water 4 meters high! and should do that in 5 minutes.
a) calculate the energy F with g= m/s²
( IS ALGODOO ABLE TO MAKE THAT???) I WASNT ABLE TO FIGURE IT OUT CAN ANYONE HELP?

Yes it's possible to build a pump but the water in algodoo isn't perfect. It's pretty good and way better than in phun but still it's too compressable. Your calculations deal with water that's ideal and a non compressable liquid (I guess).
So you can build a pump in algodoo but you maybe won't get the correct results if you plot the potential energy of the water.

yes water is incompressable. in my calculations i get 150,42 N ( hope that is correct ^^

but i can use a block which is simulating the water isnt it?

In real life water is compressable a littlebit. Nothing is uncompressable
But it's way too difficult to calculate it with compression and the effect is sooo small you nearly would get the same result if the pressure isn't incredibly high.

If you want to calculate the energy you can't get 150,42N. You can get the number but the unit is another one. The unit N (Newton) is the unit of forces. The unit for energy is J (Joule).
Let me calculate the potential energy:
E = m*g*h
E = 4600kg * 9.81m/s² * 4m
E = 180320 J
But the assignment is a bit confusing because you talk about energy (E) but the caption in the assignment is an "F" which stands for "force".

You can but it's very unrealistic. I would rather do it with algodoo water then with it's rigid bodies.
