Bounce engines.
What I can't understand, is why did they use to be so popular? They seem a bit overcomplicated to me...

Re: Bounce engines.
I think it was more they had new tech and so people had to play with them.
I actually loved seeing bounce Engines, I remember, I think it was Protector, had an amazing truck using a bounce engine!
Some of the older engines was so inspiring, I remember looking at some of the older stuff in sheer amazement, wishing I had the patience to even complete half of what they've done!

Re: Bounce engines.
I at first thought they were created because people decided they needed some means of power generation way back in the days of Phun, and I mean waaaaay back, like before thyme even existed. (So you couldn't make a spawn engine!) I remember seeing the first spawn engines ever made, they were so cool! (I was like 9 back then, but I played with Phun a lot, along with browsing the forum and Phunbox even though I didn't have an account). The sheer diversity was stunning because the concept was still very much in the experimental stage and there was no clear dominant configuration.
