Algodoo + external communication
Hi,
I've tried running a search on the forums but couldn't find anything that would help me with this matter.
Is there a way for Algodoo to communicate with external software, for example through serial communication or some other means? I would like to be able to do both, for Algodoo to receive commands as well as send them. For example, if something happens in the Algodoo interface I'd like it to send a serial message of let's say, "1". And then be able to read/receive such commands.
Thanks for help!

Re: Algodoo + external communication
System.WriteToFile can be used to send data out, just write to a file in a folder and create an application to check the folder for files, read and and remove it.
as for getting data in, Algodoo/communication.cfg
Anything in there will be executed in thyme, Algodoo will automatically delete the file after the code in there has been parsed, so you should be able to easily create a data queue from what I recall, I don't recall too much of how me and a friend was doing it, but that should guide you...
