ClassMate PC

Has anyone tried it on a classmate pc yet? I put it on my Eee Pc Netbook and it runs well, but iwant to know if it's better on the classmate.

Both the Asus eee and the classmate PC have Intel Atom processors at 1.6GHz, so they have roughly the same compute performance and so simulations should run at roughly equal speed.

One version of the classmate pc is convertible, so it can be used in tablet mode with a pen and a touch display. This is really nice with Algodoo. In addition, the classmate pc has a built-in accelerometer, and it is really cool to use that to tilt and shake the simulation. One can actually even perform some experiments with it, and certainly also use it for games (e.g. a labyrinth game or balancing game). The classmate pc is also very rugged, and can stand some rain and dust without complaining, and you can actually drop it from reasonable heights and it still won't break. In short, it is made for use in real world conditions and it makes you wonder why on earth there are no other computers like it. Standard laptops and netbooks are certainly not made for being carried around in a school environment!
