I've asked Savask about perceptron, he has showed me page of wikipedia, then I've showed him page to download book from, and DJVU - reader for book. How do you like my grammophone? :D

Очень интересный робот, особенно хороша леталка
Жаль, что он не использует нейросети (а это является одним из приоритетов), но надеюсь, ты в будущем изменишь его.

I just checked up his work and gave some advices.

Good Idea with IC ;) May be I'll make neuro-microchip, and it will be very simple to use in robots.

I script with only variables and oncollides in simple form, but feel could be an effective member for mechanics and construction. One question: How will I know how to build the device, will the neural design be internal or external? External would be a lot easier to work with, if so I could begin construction emediatly.
I'm not CrystalCube anymore.

To be honest, I can't understand what you are talking about, but it will be much easier when I'll make a neural processor, so we just need to wait :)

sorry to just butt in here

I made this slightly crude robot that follows anything that is red. It is a little bit unreliable and takes a little while to detect the red object based on its distance but it works off of a good principal that robot makers might want to look at.

Oh and no scene.my varialbes

Wow, very unique kind of robot! As I understand, they are different only by collideset detecting, or something else?

And would you like to join?

All descriptions in the scene.
I made some mistakes in the code, but I can't catch them. That's why robot decisions can look strange :P

EDIT:
I have found one mistake, and now it should work as I wanted.

Ok, now you are in the list! Do you want to have a special job (like mechanic designer or another)?

I like the idea of circle bot, because it have no front or back side and much harder to destroy (cause it have small number of moving parts). That's why it is a very good platform for robot, for my mind.

Yes! That is exactly why I used the circle bot. Because it is versatile and almost indestructible which makes it a great platform for building a fun robot that anyone can use. Plus the design is fairly simple with few moving parts.

But there is one lack. It is hard to make it doing something useful, because it is always spinning. But I think, that your idea is good for mouse-controlled games.

i just made a mouse following robot...
simple as can be...
i can also make it go to a certain point (just have to change a small part of the script then)
when this one is finished (so it can go to a certain point, follow the mouse and do nothing on demand), it will be very nice, because you can use it in war :P

I think it is very good platform for robot
But it is bad that it can move only 45 degrees,90, etc...
Some trigonometry, and you can make it move at any angle!

does anyone have a script that you can calculate the angle from point to point with?

yes

Code: Select all
scene.my.angle = (P1, P2) => { a := math.acos((P2(0) - P1(0)) / ((P2(0) - P1(0))^2 + (P2(1) - P1(1))^2)^0.5); (P2(1) - P1(1)) < 0 ? {a = 2*math.pi - a} : {}; a }

thnx, from that, i need to calculate angle to the mouse, and i need to calculate a point from an angle+distance :P
if i finished on those parts, i can make it happend...

no problem

with the code i posted before the angle from device to mouse is
Code: Select all
scene.my.angle(the position of the device, app.mousepos)

calculate point from angle+distance:
Code: Select all
scene.my.point = (angle, distance) => { [cos(angle), sin(angle)] * distance }
