stabilized rangefinders, anyone?

also, for objectives, i think it should have VTOL and STOL capabilities, be stable enough so that noob pilots can still drive it well enough, and not to be able to simply turn it to takeoff in a couple of meters height....
also, maybe a method to stop the osprey to actually collide its rotors onto the ground.

Sniperkasa - I found simpler code to do it before I looked at your scene, I didn't use yours because I found a simpler way to do it that's all.

Versieon - I don't want to use that engine because it wont be able to create enough lift for 20.000 kg, let's stick to using Bounce engines because they provide steady power and they don't have any mechanisms.

i think this can come in handy as the engine. some tweaks and you can have near infinite power.

How does it work and why is it better than our current engine?

it works by spawning circles with a pre-set velocity. after spawining, they collide with the spawner, which by then provides thrust. it should be better than the current engine because, after some adjustments, you can lift any kind of weight with it easily.

also, the color change is just for eye candy, and you can eliminate it by using minor changes.

Btw ivan.. how does ur work then? I could make the code just a few words long.. but then it would use one custom variable...

I didn't make the code, RaRa did.

It works by spawning circles at a speed dependent on the engine's speed. It can lift anything and it doesn't need replacement.

Ivan, that does not exactly tell me how your altitude meter works.. I know the engine we used to have is not good.. but im talking about the altitude meter....

seriously, tracking the e.pos(1) of an object is not that hard...

I Know you are talking about the altimeter, I found a simpler way to do it, will you let it go now?

And I'm still just asking you to say how you made it simpler, so could you just stop going around stuff and tell me allready.
I'm not the kind of person who likes to talk about the same subject for 5 posts when it can be done in one single one. So please, just tell me and quit talking random offtopicnes.

It's pretty obvious that you could know how I did it simpler by looking at the scene.

I'm suggesting that you could also make an AGL altimeter besides your ASL altimeter to display the altitude relative to the ground.

karateBrot - can you explain what you mean?

Also, I need someone to help me stabilize the helicopter.

He's talking about a sensor that records the relative distance of the aircarft to the ground.

AGL means "Above ground level". It detects the height of the plane above the ground.
ASL means "Above sea level". It detects the height of the plane above sea level (that's similar to your actual altimeter)

There's no need for an AGL altimeter if you just have a plane at 0 height. But if you also make mountains etc. it would be helpful.

I quickly made an Altimeter that measures the height above the terrain and the height above sea level (0m)

Sorry, I kind of lost track of things for a while. I'll comment/add on to the scene in a bit.

Also, the main problem we have right now is stabilizing the v-22, if you guys could find a good solution to that it would be great.

edit: The laser needs to be positioned on the back, it should have a stabilizer and it shouldn't collide with the aircraft. I don't really like the suspension, it is a bit weak.
