Automated machinery

Postby bman » Fri Jan 29, 2010 10:14 am

We need a team of skilled people to engineer, improve, and test cool new machines. Any kind of machine or machine parts that we can put together to create a production line type environment. I have seen many amazing scenes that have inspired me to make my own machinery. Over time we can develop new concepts and design a working assembly line with parts made by us. I understand that just putting together the scenes we have made wont work too well because of different sizes and such, but I encourage you to post them for inspiration. we can use the general idea and create something that fits. As far as a name i'll need to wait and get some more people on board so we can decide as a team.

All of the above, then we put them together to make an assembly line. it could be a robot arm that picks up something, then places it on a walker that brings it to the next operation. As I said in my first post "Any kind of machine or machine parts that we can put together to create a production line type environment". I uploaded a few samples of machinery that are examples, You tell me what your good at and we'll go from there. My second post is a stage 2 version of the parts stacker, its much faster and is an improvement from the stage 1 version. see if you can take the stage 2 and make it faster, or make it work with another type of part. or make a stacker but make it your own way. it doesent have to be a stacker, i was thinking of making something that would take those stacks and weld them together.

I wanna join this collab, it seems to be great, and also the scenes you have made alredy are awsome, I like them a lot.
What I can do in this collab is everything related with mechanics, I love mechanics, in fact is the only thing I can do, I have no idea of thyme, so you can put me on mechanical engineer, and as "secondary work" on tester, process improvement, inventory manager or quality assurance. I can make any type of sequence or machine/device (walkers, robotic things...), however I can also make equipment for the inventory.
I will post the scenes I make, if you accept me, in this thread.
Ok, thanks, bye.

Thats great!

Of course you can join, no big commitment needed. you do what you want to do, when you want to do it! i dont believe in any kind of deadline because quality work cant be rushed. Upload some scenes.

I couldent add this machine to the first scene it was too laggy, so I made it so it could run continuously.

Used the same initial transfer but instead of a robot its a vertical transfer system, with the same clamping mechanism. Mechanic let me know what it is you need help with or what you are interested in learning and we'll go from there

i got an idea for the factorys
that the factory needs resources for making the stuff (for spawning the parts of the product)

Basically what we have so far is a bunch of equipment that could be placed together to make some sort of factory, theres still lots of work to do on the equipment such as what you mentioned in your post. those machines can be modified to actually do something to those parts. I lack the thyming skill to do so, which is why were looking for thymers and people with innovative designs.
