I could design special weaponry. Im currently working on a rail gun that fires a slug that makes things around it dissapear ( well actually pushes them away really fast).

Why doesn't somebody make an Algodoo army, to fight with the Phun army?

because phun and algodoo are the same. algodoo is just phun all grown up. you can't have the adult fight a child version of itself. it'd be OBVIOUS who would win.

Just about the only thing that Algodoo has that Phun doesn't, is lasers. So I'm pretty sure it'd be a fair fight.

Okay, algodoo is better at some things, but all in all Phun and Algodoo are pretty much equals. I just think you don't wanna fight cause you're CHICKEN! :lol:

That's what I'm saying. Too many compatibility issues.

Well...you could try to replace lasers with collisions. Like, a ball in a rail, and it's got a weak spring connecting it to something. That's what I always do.

But it won't get the perfect 100 hits per second :(

It's actually 50-65 (or something) ticks per second, not 100.

Or maybe I'm just wrong. :P

Your wrong. Laser have a very simple code to work out how many hits per second

H = Hits per second
F = Sim.frequency

Code: Select all
H = F

Mystery, You are wrong. Lasers are not hitting at sim.frequency, but about 50 hits per second as Chronos said.
The only way I know to get 100 hits per second is alternating collideset collider, and it's phun compatible :thumbup:
The thing I miss the most in Phun are not lasers, but ability to destroy things by density=0;

You were never able to do that in Phun, only Algodoo. :| Besides, AirFrictionMultiplier = NaN still works, despite it being crippled.

I meant that density=0 is one of the best features of algodoo.
Still need to learn english better lol ;) .

Air friction = NaN likes to evaporate whole collision groups :problem:

It doesn't have to be Airfrictionmult = NaN, It can be anything = NaN (Anything that's an integer).

So...if you went to the script menu and put in...oh, say color = NaN, that'd delete the object? :shock:
If so, that'd help allot with a scene I was trying to make.(can't remember what it was, though :problem: )

Integer. That's an array (an array of floats, to be more precise).

Hi, I have already made some cars in phun, so maybe you guys would like to give them a look?
Here are some links to youtube vids:

- Army Jeep
- Tatra truck
- Land Rover

I've got some more, you can watch them at my channel!

Greets,

I'm not exactly sure what you mean, but I think... if something changes how the object behaves with others, like, friction or restitution, then if you put NaN in there,it'll delete them. Is that what you mean?

Oh really? I think you're saying that it sounded stupid, cause you wanna distract people from making an algodoo army cause you're afraid that algodoo will get beat! And how exactly did that sound stupid? :wtf:
