well, i thought off another concept, but thanks, your thrusters are a masterpiece of calibration! I once built easy rotary density thrusters,but they kinda shook around uncontrollably xD but thanks

Hey I made a simple laser turret. It was actually one of the first things I made in Algodoo.

cool! But it misses some action, EXPLOZNS maybe ^^
But don`t forget the cool flaps for them, so they pop out of some door at pressing a key ^^

PS: I asked my friend about the scripting, should work, but he can`t use thyme T.T

Simple yet powerfull cannon.
ideal for spaceship - lightweight and works without gravity.
uses collision c repulsion, but it's really weak so it shouldn't interfere with other subsystems.

hmmm... if you want i could make a little compartment at the bottom of the ship that drops little pulse bombs like a carpet bomber. or a cannon that fires pulse grenades

Rofl, well, we could... although my algodoo is bugged and not working anymore :(

Edit: Made it work again! Some graphicscarddriver nonsense. :D anyone still up to this, please tell me! I`ll make a list.
also, we should plan this better, that`s why this didn`t work out last time.
i`ll just make a list of things we need:


Skin (or base)
thrusters (propel and steer)
weaponry
shields


Members:
PlanckBanck (gauss cannon w.i.p.)

i`m always into new ideas, but we should keep this as unlaggy as possible. (no waterthrowers or "spawn thousand circles somewhere cannons" :P)

IDEA MAN! here to give you as much ideas as you want
Okay..few ideas
1. don't make the spaceship in a too big scale..otherwise the world is too small
2. something like a Warpmodule (Just superspeed that's why i gave idea 1)
3. a catching net (catching objects with a kind of chain alike thing)
4. something like that one guys levitation beam to suck things into the spaceship
5. a whole spacesystem (planets,other (non controleable) spaceships,targets to destroy,refueling/repairing stations)
6. a kind of cloak (just makes it invis and back to normal color - toggle)
7. kind of system that only allows cloak OR shield not both at same time ==> realistic
8. a bar that shows power level used (the thing that makes idea 7)
9. FUEL (lasts long)
10. homebase (refuel there,hangar,repair kit)
11. parts of the spaceship that can be damaged/repaired with the repair kit (if repairkit colides with the 'broken' object it will be back ok)
12. a remote turret on a planet (or your homebase)
13. a liquify beam
14. some nice tunes (working with ahox music player)
15. a hangar INSIDE the spaceship (smaller spaceship in the big one,made for exploration and getting fuel only(this ship works on solar power so it doesn't needs fuel itself but can transport it)
16. a kind of overview about wich parts of spaceship are damaged
17. idea's enough? otherwise ask for more!

EDIT ( 1 sec after posting) : Another idea : a 'dehydration beam',kills water only!
EDIT 2 (2 seconds after posting) : Another idea! a blackhole cannon (Shoots a kind of ball,on keypress it stops moving and starts attracting a lot's of things a kills them (can also attract own spaceship,so get your shields up,blackhole disappears after a while!)
EDIT 3 (5 seconds after posting) : Another idea!! a selfdestruct button! (allow this to make lagg,because selfdestruct ==> kinda the end)
EDIT 4 (10 seconds after posting) : again..another 2 ideas.. 1 a cannons that shoots somethin small with a pretty big tracer on it that sticks to the first object it hits to folow objects 2. objects that keep moving in a same circuit (like the moon.. or the earts around the sun) to use idea EDIT 4.1 with
EDIT 5.1 (1 minut after posting) : IDEA.. Fuel boxes that are floating in space that you can pick up so it adds fuel (same mechanism as smaller spaceship that can refuel)
EDIT 5.2 Bombs that use fuel to explode! (uses a lot of fuel but it pretty powerfull)
EDIT 5.3 multiple shields (KILLER SHIELD,LIQUIFY SHIELD or DEHYDRATION SHIELD ((only kills water)) and you can also choose REPEL,ATTRACT or NEUTRAL)
EDIT 5.4 floating mines (just like asteroids but then explosive (makes you need a repair)

This spaceship isn't exactly a fighter, more of a frigater.

This would cause extreme lag

This also would be very hardas the spaceship has many object

Possible, but it would be hard to find it in space :(

Not sure how it can be repaired, but damage is something I agree with.

YES. But t may look odd with the cloaking shield
