Single shot bolt action rifle
Having problems with how bullets are to be propelled and how springs should act, I gave up on the semi automatic rifle long ago.
What I've understood so far is that bullets need to be in different layers in order to be in the magazine double crossed like in a real mag. And when entering the barrel, an Oncollide script changes the layer of the whole bullet into eg Layer A. Thus making the bullet falling all the way down into the bottom of the magazine if fed incorrectly.
If I can't find any threads on spring guided weapons and pistols with the search function, I'd like to ask people in this thread to give some hints to some threads about it.
About the scene:
A lot of things is "behind stage" pulled strings and many people may think that the bullets are activated like a real rifle. However, a quick CTRL+A may reveal how the rifle actually works.
I'm having problems with making a hammer and spring guided firing mechanism and so gave up on trying to make one, I turned to more traditional methods.
What my goal is is this rifle I found by: j-dewd
However, I want to make an AK47 or anything "more interesting" than just an M4 that have been done millions of times already.
Any feedback would be nice.

Good, but occasionally the firing pin will not fire the cartridge.
Or it will, but it will be extremely slow.
Not sure how to remedy this.

Been here since ~Phun 4.22, but post very infrequently.

Re: Single shot bolt action rifle
The firing mechanics of this weapon is not the spring guided hammer and nail itself.
It's slow because the time it takes for the wheel to turn is a very slow speed because of the force given to it.
I'll look into it though.

onto the double-layer magazine issue, i use "no self-collision" on the casing and bullet, but not onto the primer itself, which would be 1/x(number of layers you want) times the width of the catridge.

But I've never been there, so I may be wrong.
