100% realistic Rotary Engine from WW1. Check real one and see if you don't believe.

Best rotary engine on Algobox. I think you guys are going to like it. Opinions please!

Very interesting. Very interesting indeed...

But

I don't remember, but it might've been davidz40 wrote:Changing frequency is evil.

And

You have pointless, non-realistic parts. You could just hinge the end of the piston rods to the frame without the need for funny driveshafts.

However, I would like to see a rotary engine of this type that makes two cycles of the pistons each revolution of the engine- the ends of the piston rods move on a disc on the same axle as everything else, but spins the opposite direction. C-Gears should do it.
Matthias Wandel is epic, in my humble opinion.
I love my brain...

Recently, I discovered something a lot of you probably already knew: Minecraft is awesome.

It has to be done to achieve higher speeds. Engine works fine on 100, but it's better on 200.

I struggle to see this, sorry. If you don't mind can you post a scene response? I would like to simplify it if it's possible. I just find it hard to see what you mean.

I went by this animation. I don't think real WW1 rotaries made 2 cycles.

  • You know the rods connected to the pistons?
  • And how the other end is attached to a disc that's connected to the driveshaft?
  • Now what if you did away with the disc altogether and just hinged the respective end of the rod to the center of where the disc was?

Am I clear now?

And if the disc was instead placed concentric to the drive shaft, but spun the opposite direction, could you not have any wacky combination of piston firings you wanted by varying the gear ratios?

Yes u are clear now.

I don't want wacky combinations of piston firings. I want a functional real-life replica rotary engine. Speaking of which, I uploaded my Le Rhone 9C. Check it out.
