Featured Scenes

I have a few questions for devs with regards to the above.

Are these going to change?
How are they chosen?
Why are some scenes on there that I would consider "not excellent" when really you wan to show off the best scenes that people have made? (I'm not going to lie, I just want one of my scenes up there )

Yeah, we have planned to change them on a regular basis, but the ones that are shown now are the ones we missed while we waited for the disk repair.

Please send us suggestions! It is impossible for us to keep track of all the great scene, but with a little help from the community, we should be able to find the gems!

Thanks, I think the featured scenes if very important for algodoo, even having one or two new scenes every day on there would be beneficial because it it the first thing that appears when the community portal is opened. Im sure it would be easy enough for me and others to nominate a handful of scenes a week. Maybe create a sticky topic in the scenes forum for scene nomination.

Yes, a sticky topic is needed, but some rules needs to be established. It would be great if we could get some variation in the kind of scenes that are featured.

But groups are probably not necessary.

It is also important that the features scenes does not mess up the Algodoo configuration and they should work with Algodoo Play.

Do you or any other forum user have any rule suggestions? I will otherwise create the sticky topic.

I agree that groups are not necessary, and working with algodoo play should be the main consideration.

Ok, mabye start with these;

The Scene must;

• Work with Algodoo Play
• Comply with Algobox and Algodoo Terms of service agreement
• Be suitable for children
• Should be fun, educational or interesting
• Run smoothly even on a low performance computer

The Scene must not;

• Contain any suggestive or offensive themes
• Alter the config, for example: sim.frequency, SPH settings, and other global variables
