"1" Rating on my Scene

So someone has rated my scene a 1. No surprises there.

I am almost positive it is user "caleb". He thinks he smart by rating my scenes a 1, possibly to try and get revenge on me for stupid reasons. I just need that last bit of confirmation, but there is no way to know 100% that it was him.

Thoughts?

I wish Algobox would let us see who rated our scenes. Actually I wish we had a new Algobox all together.

If you saw who rated your scenes, you would be biased when rating their scenes too. An example of this is you calling caleb a "little shit". You're not 100% sure it's him, yet you still said that. What more if you knew who did it?

He's already rated one of my scenes a 1, and he was stupid enough to tell me that he rated it a 1. He hasn't got any scenes, he claims he doesn't know how to upload them. Even if he did, I'd still rate it fairly. I know I'd certanly never be biased, but you are right there there are some members of the community who would be.

You're not 100% sure it's him, yet you still said that. What more if you knew who did it?

I'd report them. Simple as that.

I actually think a good way to rate scenes would be with your forum account, not with your algodoo box account (Why are they seperate anyway?) That way that user has to explain there rating. Scenes get rated 1 all the time usaully by "Little shit's" all the top scenes have a rating of 1, half of my scenes have a rating of 1 but i think it will usually balance out since everyone is under the same treatment. Of course, a way to simlify the rating system would just be with "like" button, ie facebook, so you can't rate down a scene, only ignore it.

I just thought of something great, inspired by Nxdt. A single account for Algobox/Algodoo Forum, but also a system whereby if you rate a scene you must also comment.

Im sure there are thousands of good ideas out there, I just hope Algoryx will wake up soon and give us a brand new website with modern functionality, instead of this basic scene upload/comment/rate system we have now. It really is falling behind in my opinion.

Sure, they updated it last year (new look, grammar fixes) but that's about all they did. No improved functionality at all.

Integration of Algobox into the forum has certainly been suggested before. It would allow you to see how many scenes, average scene rating, etc. in the space below your avatar.

But I like the idea of that you must rate a scene and post a comment.

And I think Emanuel is the closest we are going to get to Link for quite a while, Algoboxwise.

I agree. I think it was more likely Chronos. I doubt Jrv would've suggested it, for it probably would've ended up in the Living Room. And in that case, I never would've seen it. And I do recall seeing it.

There is a special catagory of people who can stillupload and comment but not rate. Go to user list, and click "Rating banned"
