Adding slider GUI for controlling Sim.frequency
How about adding slider GUI for Sim.frequency somewhere in menu?
I think it's convenient, because the default became 60Hz since Algodoo 2.1.0
And also, it may help for newbie and children to understand speed and accuracy of simulation are in a trade-off.

i would not use it that much, it is good as it is on default.
as for newbies and children, it may be too complex to talk about, and it doesn't teach you physics, it teaches you a bit of programming.

Basically, there are only 10 types of people in the world. Those who know binary, and those who don't.

Oh, so maybe you think "Max anisotropy" slider in "Rendering" menu is fine,
but simulation frequency is too complex?

Re: Adding slider GUI for controlling Sim.frequency
max anisotropy is actually something i have found more than one time (game graphic options), sim.frequency is so algodoo specific that it is unnecessary to learn, unless you go deep into algodoo like you.
(i don't like learning stuff i never encounter on any other place), and i don't actually know what i can find in the options menu .

I would say that if not a slider, at least a checkbox in the options to use the old frequency.

Re: Adding slider GUI for controlling Sim.frequency
Children are genius and curious.
One day, a boy possibly says:
"Dad. My gear box doesn't work in higher rpm. What's wrong?"
It's not his mistake but an accuracy issue of simulation...
My proposal is a slider from 60Hz to 256Hz. That's enough.
P.S. The world of 256Hz is accurate and very interesting!

No no, this is not right to put control into info window.
Best place for slider in simulation option menu (where you set sim speed like x10 or x0.1)
