Gravity blocking materials
I think there should be an option in the materials menu to have an object create "Gravity Shadows". This would best be explained if you pretend gravity is like light. When it shines on an object, it applies. When it doesn't, the object isn't affected by that gravitational field. A gravity shadow object would still be affected by gravitational fields like normal objects, but they would block them from passing through, creating an area where the field would not affect anything.

Re: Gravity blocking materials
It can happen in real life,(maybe.. ) its called a gravity well. Take a super cooled substance, some other stuf, spin it at 500000 rpm and you get something that has the potential to create a gravity well, things around it arn't affected as much.

Re: Gravity blocking materials
the gravity well it a field created by mass. btw you can make it visible in algodoo in the options. a super cooled object even if it's spinning at whatever rpm can't create gravity. it's more of an electromagnetic effect

this is a physics engine... not a create your own rules for the universe engine. If you're a thymer, though then thyme it!
