-Add cut, copy, paste actions for text.
-Add an option for fixating the ends of springs.

Please clarify what you mean by this, cut, copy and paste are already avaliable for text (Ctrl+X, Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V) and the ends of springs are automatically fixated at the current point in time (unless you mean lock to angle, this can be set up using a simple system (rails)).

angle lock.... aprings are still maede out of an alien jelly-like material which doesn't breaks ever after herculean attempts(hint = much off target length)! also, you could use linkages(Phunlets/Prefabs has a good one made by Paradigm 29), and... will it lock always in the same direction or relative to the object's direction?

Relative to the parent object of course, and the eternal stretchiness of the hinges doesn't matter that much for this suggestion.
I think it's a neat suggestion.. Been suggested numerous times before on the old forum. But never here!

I'm going to support, even though I don't have the slightest idea what it is your suggesting.

Looks neat, but I dont know how they could make the spring fixate thing... and yes rails are easiest way.. even though they may fail on hard impact, rarely but the chance exists.

I'll support, there have been times I've wished I had angle-locking springs

A spring acts normally so:

I was thinking about an option where the spring would act so without any rails:

oh, I withdraw support. there are ways to do this physically if you're creative with density and collision menus

I still support, due to the fact that I use GMod a lot.

I never thought this was a good thing. Seems a bit like cheating. You never see unsupported springs in real life. I can only think of one thing I've ever seen even resembling what is being suggested, and it is built to flex side to side, not compress and stretch. It could be a temporary method to get around the occasional failings of pistons, but it's not the kind of option you can get rid of once it is possible to rely on pistons to hold up to abuse.
