H.U.D. Layer

H.U.D. Layer
New Collision Layer
which would not have effect on physic of the rest of the layers and can follow the cam,
like a Heads-up Display in games.
And that will make a possibility for example to make a speedometer or for displaying numbers of points etc.

Re: H.U.D. Layer
Can be done with thyme, just set make sure it has no collision layer. See all scenes that already have a HUD.

Re: H.U.D. Layer
But if you will make speedometer or something and you want it to follow camera when car is in move you must glue it together and it changes everything in that how car moves.
For me function which can make things follow the cam will new enough cuz I want to make something like a "silent hunter" and I need that function to display a number of torpedoes last, speed, direction, armory of a submarine etc.

Interesting idea. I support this suggestion.
I've remembered next cool scene.

Hi, Algodoo lovers. Have you read next topic? Featured scenes suggestions
To translators: English.cfg changelog will be useful (even for me).

Re: H.U.D. Layer
I don't see any problem with dashboard now. It can be nearly 0 density, follow any geom via hing and glue, keep angle via +inf inertiaMult and takes not much processor resources with bend-hinge based arrows. Just make camera follow dashboard, not a car.
No need to any additional layers or anything.
But I vote for script-builded vidgets so I can add any adjustable parameters controls (radiobuttons, checkboxes, edit boxes, sliders...)

Dream of Algodoo as game development engine...
