Acid

Postby Way2crazy » Mon Sep 21, 2009 5:03 am

if water had an option to be checked on and off to become acid and eat through objects unless imortal.

Then it could have a slider and you could change the intensity of it, basically saying how much it's gonna eat through before it dies, also have a +inf.
Thymer... Sorta :/

This has been suggested too much in the old forums. Plus, it' not as simple as making an option for it.
Millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror, and were suddenly silenced. Something terrible has happened.

It could be, but that would create excessive lag ;)
Please excuse my posts. I am extremely stupid.

lots of little balls with oncollide if scripts.
say the collideset of the block to be melted is very specific or something.

this is off the top of my head so no garentees it would work.

say the impacted collides with A and B (collideset 3) and just for arguement sake the acid balls are A, (1)

(e)=>{e.other.collideset == 3 ? {e.other.density = e.other.density / 4} : {}}

That would eventually mess up the density of the object till it disappeared, however i'd suggest it was mounted to the background or it'll float away lol

You could also code in an if statement to make it vanish before the object started glitching, and to make the colour burn. codes to do all of this can often be found in laser tanks, but they will usually use "e.geom" which needs changing to "e.other" for the code to work in oncollide.
