Rotate Intervals

Postby NilsMolinder » Tue Jul 12, 2011 11:42 pm

Right, so I was playing around with my scene, and I wanted to make something slightly tilted. However, the rotation intervals are either 15 degrees or free spin, which is understandable but annoying, since once you've free spun something, it's hard to get it back to it's original angle.

This is why I figured it would be nice if you could set your own intervals for rotation of objects, like you can with for example the grid and such. It would surely make things easier for people who want to make tilted objects that are still easily set back to their original angle.

Thank you for reading this. I hope, that if you're a developer or similar, this will be of help and hopefully be in an update in the (near) future.

Basically, there are only 10 types of people in the world. Those who know binary, and those who don't.

Maybe an option to set different snap angles at different distances from the center of rotation. Maybe, within 30 pixels, snap to 90 degrees, at 30-70 pixels, snap to 15 degrees, at 70-200 pixels, snap to 1 degree, farther than 200 pixels, snap to 0 degrees, for example. You get to set the distances and snap angles however you want.

Either way, support.
Matthias Wandel is epic, in my humble opinion.

Recently, I discovered something a lot of you probably already knew: Minecraft is awesome.
Due to this, I may not be as active as usual for a while.
