Custom variables in the graph

Postby KarateBrot » Mon Aug 31, 2009 10:28 pm

The graph is awesome! But it would be absolutely cool if you could not only display the given things like energy, time, position etc. but display custom variables, too.

For example there's a bar at the bottom to add a new variable like "scene.my.acceleration" and its value can be displayed in the graph.

I was just about to post this as well! :geek: *Spooky* :ugeek:
Also Acceleration be part of it by default.

This plotter is a great idea but without custom variable you cannot have Torque, power and more!

Support.
An alternative is to make the motor speed of a hinge the custom variable, so that you can read the speed of the motor if you wanted to read the custom variable.

I agree, especially with acceleration being default. Could be very useful.

Also, I will have to make a now K probe so it will be working in algodoo.

Do something like this:
density = yourvariable
And watch attraction energy plot (attractiong strenght should be constant).. Provisional like a hell, but works.

I like your idea. :)
However, how could you plot the next one?
X-axis: Your variable
Y-axis: Attraction energy

Even if you could so, build-in-feature for this will be the best.
