"Camera Following" Script

Postby PHUNGL » Mon Sep 09, 2013 2:57 am

I always wanted to spawn an object that the camera will follow. I sifted through the forums and found that it uses a group that has the camera following. There should be a entity in a geometry's script menu, that has, for example - cameraFollow = true or false. That would be very useful!

:)
Phun was the best program I've ever used. That is, before I discovered Algodoo.

Proposed to developer team, let's see if it goes anywhere from there, but I've already suggested it before.

The system if it was implimented would use a function such as sim.cameraFollow, which would accept 1/2 arguments, argument would obviously be the eID of the object to follow, the second argument I've proposed would select wether to add it to the list of already being followed objects, or wether to replace the existing list of following objects.

This is a better way to impliment it as algodoo knows which object to follow, instead of having to scan each object in the scene, thus this method is more performance friendly.
