Aerodynamics in Algodoo!

Suggest changes and improvements to Algodoo.

Cool suggestion! Now please, don't bark at me, cause I don't know much about aviation (Real or Algodoo)... But wouldn't you need to simulate airflow too?

ONE IMPORTANT QUESTION: Would this screw up things already scripted to fly with thyme? As in helicopters?

Not if you turn it off, much like turning off current air friction.

no it isn't necessary to simulate air flow, too ;)

Thanks for the answers... I was really hoping the helicopter I have wouldn't become obsolete or whatever if this ever gets implemented.

I am a major supporter of this Idea. I hope that Algodoo will be coming out with some new features..... or at least 1 minor update to make me feel like its being worked on. (cuz i havnt gotten any updates in like ...well never) so cmon developers!

we haven't recieved updates because the developer, Emil, was in (a very deserved)vacation since the algodoo launch.

Why giving up if there wasn't one single algodoo update yet? You can give up if it's not implemented in 2011

don't worry, anotabo, the world doesn't end in another 2~3 years

hovewer, i do understand there can be problems now, because algodoo is a commercial product...

Let's wait. Algoryx already noted a big bunch of suggestions/bugs and the program is still developing.
Let's think positive:
Now that it's commercial and sold by a company that's involved in making simulation software they can add way more things which would have been very complicated for only one or two persons. They have the knowledge and experience.
It's nearly half a year now since algodoo was released. I think the first update will be HUGE.

well they have conveniently made it much easier for them to update so i believe that algodoo will hopefully evolve rapidly

I support this. It seems to me like a big improvement over the current air model (I HATE Phun air) without getting into fluid dynamics. You're not the only one who would really like to hear some sort of feedback, Antotabo.

100% support
Really well thought idea.
The algorithm seems to be fast, so there should be no problem with lag unless polygons with many sides are used.

Sorry about the bumb but I really want this implemented. We have infinite space in algodoo but we don't use the air as much as we could. That's like throwing away ALOT of food in front of starving children.
( I don't know how I came up with that )

Plus aerodynamics would have alot of commercial value to the program.
Again sorry about the bumb...

so would I. Think of all the things you could make and come up with several flying models and some "out of the box" aircrafts ;)
