1.8.2 Interface

Postby Kilinich » Thu Nov 04, 2010 2:15 pm

1) Menu expand buttons must work on single click
2) New tool options buttons makes underlay fixed menu gray - it's not good
3) Buttons in main menu is not self explain, especially "hide windows"
4) Expandable buttons in settings window is not necessary, player's path to option now twice longer
5) Removing buttons instead of graying out is bad idea imho. I prefer at least to know I have that option

Now after config reset I must spend few minutes to drag all that expand buttons to customize views. I think you need "expand all" somewhere.

1)

Also, there was a problem with accidental clicks. To expand/collapse quickly you can double-click or just throw the button.

Additionally, I suggest "expand with right click (or middle click)" button for whom dislike accidental click but like single click. ;)
This suggestion is advanced one, so this can be Thyme ways (not button), IMHO.

2) Hmm, I think current behavior is even good for looks.
3) Maybe. Icon + short words might be better.
4) I'll use v1.8.2 more before commenting this.
5) Same as the above.
