Integration of Circlular gears (C-gears)

Postby Nxdt » Wed Jan 04, 2012 7:31 pm

Conundrummer's gears are a lot more accurate and reliable than the default polygon gears so I suggest there is an option to generate them in game. The C-gear generator is fine, but, getting precise sizes of gears is tricky. If it is build in then every gear generated will fit perfectly with each other every single time so long as the "Teeth Size" Parameter is the same.

Please note: selecting the Circular gears option will dissolve the external/internal gears, since a circular gear can be used as both.

The generator i'm refering to;

Filesize: 27.98 kB

Ratings: 28
download

Also suggest a built in function to generate C-chains, which are the equivalent chains.

support on both, you only need to explain me how to get the collidegroups easily correct.
a group for every color in the gear? As the gear isn't 1 object.

It is fine if you use the arrows to change the collision layers.
The gears teeth are on the same collision layer, with "No self collision" selected and one colliding with water and the other not.
