Nudge tool

I was thinking that maybe there should be a nudge added to where when you press an arrow on the keyboard the selected object moves slightly.

Pretty much this.

However, this might, under very rare circumstances, be useful rather than just tapping the arrow using geom controller.

i think he means like in publisher where you can select an object ( a textbox for example) and use the arrow Keys to move the object a few pixels at a time

Zoom in close and hold shift to lock it to an axis.

Also, this has been suggested before. The problem is that Algodoo doesn't work in pixels, it works in units, which change depending on how much you zoom in. Therefor, it's nearly impossible to get it to move exactly as far as you want it. It would be useful, but it probably would be difficult to implement and use. Just stick with the geometry controller.

It actually had this feature before, way back when it was still in private beta.

This is meant to be used for fine tuning moving of things, but I realize it can also foul things up if done unknowingly. Is the "move things with the arrow keys" feature a good or a bad thing you think?

Too bad it was taken away.
