Road-Kill Contest

Postby Benjii » Mon Jul 30, 2012 9:38 am

In case your wondering why i posted road kill contest I'm not quite normal....
The basic objective on this is create a kill-able animal (or as many as you want, but you will only be marked on the quality of each individual animal) These can be any animal you want, small or large (i'd suggest you go for the middle to large section) and can do ANYTHING you want, they can walk, eat, even eat each other!! Extra marks will be added for quirky features.
RULES:
+ While humans are technically animals, i don't want them, i feel the killable person is very over done. I'm thinking of cows, sheep, dogs, cats, deer, even rhinos!! Your animals could have babies but they must not have the same controls as their mother.
+ As realistic as possible but NO TEXTURING.
+ Can be all collision layers
+ Must be a realistic size in relation to the car, i.e no giant squirrels or tiny elephants
+ THEY MUST BREAK IN SOME WAY WHEN HIT BY THE CAR
+ Blood would be great but not too much!
+ Your animal should not try to avoid the oncoming car, so flying birds are only aloud if they're on the ground

You'll be marked on:
How your animal looks, is it just one colour, does it have shading...all that kind of stuff.
How realistic the impact from the car looks, does a hippo remain hard when hit or does it look soft on impact.
Any extra features, walking, eating looking after babies and generally being animals.

Any questions?
Lines close in 2 weeks
Make your animals!

Good idea for a contest. I'm not sure if I'm going to enter yet. You scene link on this page is broken; Algobow should be Algobox. Also, the URL tags used in the forum can also be used in the scene descriptions in Algobox.

I didn't know this before, but you can use a scene tag to post a scene like Under Ground did above.
Code: Select all

I didn't know that either, but as Under Ground has already done it so i'll leave it, i guess there's nothing else wrong (it follows all of the rules?) with this, is there?

I think i can build a animal the same way as a car, and it will have organs. But i will post it on the other account.
So, i just need to build a killable animal and post it as a response?

It has no name.
And, wasn't mine the only one with skeleton and organs? :o

Yours was the only one with a skeleton but other's had organs.
It was mainly the fact that, while more complex on the inside, it was very simple on the outside,
if you take s_noonan's bears, there is much more detail on the outside and with the was No.II deformed, it didn't need it.
the impact score was high because rather than firing the cat about 200 yards (still, very funny to watch!!) the bear was a little deformed and it's limbs went floppy and it keeled over on it's back.
Besides, which scene do you want me to rate??

Hooray! Looks like I'm the big wiener. The three scenes that I would like you to rate a 10 are the newest scenes of MrLucasManSwe, Yanko3769, and Altse99 made after today.

It is really against the rules at the Algobox to have more then 1 account and rate scenes with it.
Are you sure you want to do this? :wtf:
