Your also missing a scale. build box, and target are needed really. i think weight limit would also be a good rule - when you consider the handgun size it'd have to be useable, yet still have heavy enough slugs to do any damage.

gun weight limit i think needs to be imposed

also that weight limit and the size limit should ideally be scaled up - i've scaled a pistol to that size before and it was a nightmare lol. so i dunno, 2m 2m box maybe? sound reasonable to people? and then a weight limit i suppose the weight of a box of that size standard so 2x2x2kg box is probably about right so 8kg?

how would that sound?

also for the tower, i suggest using the phun tower and not the algodoo one. I dont really think the algodoo one is a good test myself. or a tower lol

Watch the video for an idea how the reload works. the video is from the MKI of the same pistol, but the operating principles haven't really changed except now it has a trigger and a hammer.

had a few comments about it being hard to reload, so heres a magazine loadable version.
its not as reliable as the MKII though, given the additional movable parts.

Its fairly reliable if you use the surrogate buttons instead of click drag, i like the reload mechanism. Wish i'd thought of the bullet ejection method, seems a bit more reliable than mine. Loading is realistic as well.

have you checked my new one yet niffirg1 or was there only 1 entry allowed?

gotta love the semi-automatic fail mechanism(if you pay attention closely, theres a blind spot in which the gun is able to fire fully auto).

I'm fetching my entry right now. hope it does generate enough recoil to reliably cycle the next round without having sim frequency problems(thats the problem on 18 other scrapped gun designs i made since beta4)

How does Torpedo get more realism points than me?
Sprung cartridges are the closets simulation to gas pressure in Phun right now aside from water for ballistics.
Also, a huge un-realistic point of Torpedo's gun is that the rounds are not chambered, and simply fired straight from the magazine.
Another point to, Torpedo's gun uses a force to blow back the slide. I don't know where it comes from, but its not from the bullets.
All the energy to operate my gun comes from either the cartridges or the operator.

I could make more points, But I'm making a huge fuss over 1 point difference.

The force that blows back the slide IS from the bullets. drag one out and delete the thick pin in the middle, the slug will blow off in one direction, the case in the other. Have a fiddle with them or run the gun in slow motion to see how that is working.

The only occurance in my gun of energy from anything but the cartridges or the user, is that when the bullets run out, the slide passes in too far and hits a high restitution bar, which bounces the slide back so it hits the back of the gun hard, and locks the reload pin into position. During firing however no energy comes from anywhere but the cartridges.

Not really. I'm working on rechambering my gun, and will resumbit some time in the future. When's it going to end?

And topedo, I knew that it was only for locking back, but it would be to your advantage if it didn't do that and used bullet energy to lock back.
