Unlike other water pump contests, in this contest you will start with a tub and a floating box. The idea is to pump water from below the box floating in the water to inside the box. The box is 3x5 meters and the pump must be no more than 1x1 meter. You may cut the box, but not change the size. Nothing can hang below the box.

Will be graded on:

1. size- the smaller, the more points 20%
2. time to fill box- the faster, the more points 60%
3. simplicity- the less parts, the more points. (you can csg-add to reduce part count. each piece counts as a different part.) 20%
4. bonus points- the pump can pump most, if not all, of the water back out 30%

Contest ends 6/20/11

Do you have a sample entry? If not, I am inclined to simply ignore this contest. If you can't have anything hanging below the box, how can you pump? Straws work in real life, but not in Algodoo.

Then again, I do have an idea. I shall work on it- as soon as Algodoo quits being a fail.

Done.

The weight of the box forces water to the pump. The pump is how you hold it in, push it out and seal it so it cant escape/come in the box.

Well, in any case, my entry does do that. When the box is on the bottom of the tank, nothing can get in or out.
