This was way too easy. I recorded every single edit I made, so let me know if it's bad.

Also, this contest is not near as bad as it looks from the above post- the rules and scoring system are in the scene.
As I failed to notice in the post.

Also, put the scene tag in the post. It's at the bottom left of the scene description, and it looks like this:
Code: Select all
[scene]54260[/scene]

I don't think you are allowed to put things that far down.

Image

Very clearly, the bridge box is fully above the water.

Sorry, try again.

Aw! I didn't see that (I removed the box early because it was causing a lot of trouble)

Same here! Bridge comleted in less than 15 minutes and over an hour for the ATV, and even then its unreliable!!

The atv took longer than the bridge :)

Doesn't work! It tends to break at almost the last moment, and the ATV falls of and begins to float upside down on the water (wheels above the water)!!.

Try improving the integrity of the bridge.

Decrease your sim.frequency to 100. It is working fine only with sim.frequency = 250.

Bozbez's entry shatters while the ATV is halfway across, but if you're lucky, the ATV's sheer inertia will carry it across.

Nisheeth's ATV always flips over at exactly the same spot on the first hill, and the bridge will hold a 7 kilogram ball for about 10 seconds.

I solved the problem Nisheeth solved by deleting the bridge box by CSG-subtracting the bridge box out of a bigger box. And putting the hole exactly where the original box was.

Now it works.

I found that if you release enter at just the right time, one of the wheels will crash into the bridge and shatter it.

Also, if you drive a little way up the first hill, and release the button, roll back far enough, and stomp on the gas, you will fly over the bridge completely.

And if you set motorSpeed to a really, really big number, and crash into the killer plane, it will crash Algodoo. It did that twice for me.

I will put 51% of my vote toward prolonging the contest, the other 49% toward ending the contest now.

@bozbez: This whole week, that has been the case. Spring break. :P

Thanks for finding that flaw (Earlier it didn't always flip.)
Solved the problem by increasing the weight of the forward wheel and slightly increasing the speed on the rear wheel

Yes. As I think I said in my in-scene description, I used several glued bodies to evade the fixate rule with out breaking the size rule. Each glued body fits neatly within my re-scaled component box.

And I still haven't found time to download. Last week was awesome, but that sort of thing cannot last.
