it would be better if you made a smartphone contest :P

So this isn't just a model right? You actually have to make it able to do stuff?

yep, it has to do stuff.

I would try as i have kinda have a decent method but i could do with learning abit more thyme :)

either way, can we put the processor into one of the existing ahox machines?

You're taking points away for using mechanics?! Kutis, seriously, learn how to stop abusing Thyme, and don't make other people use it excessively.

@electronicboy : You can put in an existing CPU, but all i made doesn't support multiprocess, so you'll actually lose some points. If you can just edit scripts inside if you want, but dont forget to give a credit :P

@pivottribal : If you want, build a smartphone :P, if it will be clickable, you'll get some more points for it and if it will look nice, youll get more points  so good idea

@chronos : Chronos, this is NOT contest about building a MECHANIC computer. If it will be mechanic and programmable, it will lag more than X7 CPU! We've got thyme, so we use it! That's only on CREATORS OPINION how will he use it or not! SO SHUT UP AND DONT BUMP MY TOPICS! And i think that your petition is crappy idea. :problem:

It'll only lag if you don't know what you're doing. Also, if it's the creators option, don't try to force it on him. Also, I didn't bump your topic at all.

Take a chill pill, man. Mechanics make things more entertaining and interesting. It sure beats seeing a stationary box doing next to nothing.

And this contest looks too much like "Make a computer for me". Programmable, multiprocessing computer with lots of functions is not something that can be readily done for some contest, but rather very big and complicated work. I know because I'm working on something similliar for one week arleady. :|

I might even try his, seeming i found out about how to create something programmable fairly easy
Recently, I've also found out how to create analog and digital pins READ+WRITE
one thing i don't get: why so many cores??
isn't one enough?? maybe 2 tops??

anyway, I'll create a singlecore one, which you can use multiple times in a scene..

As long as you work organized, it's simple
run a simple program made for the diagram you plugged the cpu into..

just use some pins as input and output (like the engines or something), make the program make a decision, and lets wait

Yea I prefer mechanical stuff. They look better and are more fun too make.

Mechanics owns scripting big time. Though I've got a couple of lines in every scene. I wish I was better at mechanics than scripting :(

Scripting compliments mechanics, not replaces it. Learn to accept that chronos could be right.

This contest and all its comments have inspired me to attempt to build a Babbage engine in Algodoo, but I can't seem to find any plans for one. :( I know such a thing exists, as Babbage himself tried to build one, but couldn't find sufficient funds to build it. All I found was "What if the Babbage engines had really caught on around the time they were invented?" Any suggestions on where I could find such plans?

By the way, I pretty well agree with all the comments since Chronos's. :)

Yes! I will help anybody with a babbage engine! I saw a reconstruction, but... :?

I think the collab forum is the proper place for this. I'll start a topic there as soon as I post the words you are reading right now. See you there! :D

Heres my entry. NOT Multicore but can easily be made multicore.
Has 128 RAM and 512 FLASH with LX3 CPU and LG1 GPU
