Flying Contraption Contest
Posted: Thu Sep 16, 2010 6:43 pm
Hello,
Today, if you so choose, you will be building a flying contraption. You must fly straight up 300 metres, and then hover for more than five seconds.
You may use scripting
Contest ends October 1
Basic Requirements:
Does it fly?
Can it hover?
It must have the white & black altitude gauge provided attached (it will not impede operation of your craft in any way)
Only collide groups A-F (G is used for the altitude gauge)
DO NOT:
Alter the scene in any way
Build out side of the blue box
Launch your craft in any way
Use Controller-Accelerators
Exploit any loop holes (duh)
GRADING:
Speed: 0/5 (How fast does it fly upwards?)
Handling 0/4 (is it easy to control?)
Manoeuvrability 0/8 (does it take forever to turn or does it turn to quickly?)
Hovering 0/1 (can it hover?)
Looks 0/5 (does it look super cool/complex)
Complex mechanism 0/6 (is it a super complex total mechanical breakthrough?)
or
Simple mechanism 0/6 (or is it so stupidly simple and genius, but works amazingly?)
Total 0/35
There is also a leader board for the fastest contraptions to reach 300m.
